This Rink is the first ever wind powered complex in Canada - in 2010 the building was retrofitted to have an artificial ice plant, new skating surface and 75kw wind turbine to offset the cost of operations.
Our rink is equipped with skating ice, and two sheets of curling ice. The rink is in operation from Mid November to March. Hazlet rink has affordable rate for families and individuals to enjoy winter activities.

Hazlet has a long history of Baseball - leading the Saskatchewan Baseball League as Champions for 3 years in a row 1979-81. When the senior team dissolved in 1993 the ball diamonds were mainly used for slo pitch and kids baseball leagues.
As of 2017 a new era of senior players have began reviving the team and the ball diamonds and have joined in to the Sask- Alta Baseball League. Catch the team playing from May-July.
